These are available in various colours; these lids provide a safe, long-term, and visually appealing solution to the challenges posed by non-earthing scenarios.
Why Powder-Coating is Not the Solution
Safety remains our top priority at HIDE. After extensive testing, in collaboration with a licensed electrician, it has been determined that powder-coating stainless steel is not a reliable method for achieving non-conductivity. The findings reveal that even minor abrasions to the thin powder-coated surface—during on-site installation or regular use—can expose the underlying conductive stainless steel, compromising the unit’s safety. For this reason, HIDE does not market or represent powder-coated products as a non-conductive solution.

HIDE recommends earthing or bonding for all powder-coated stainless-steel products to ensure compliance and safety. If bespoke colour options are required to enhance the aesthetic versatility of outdoor spaces, HIDE is happy to arrange them at an additional charge.
