Step 3

Check alignment and finished levels before setting the inlay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have Question? We are here to help

Are HIDE Polymer Covers non-conductive?

Yes. HIDE Polymer Covers are non-conductive, making them an ideal choice for projects where a stainless steel cover cannot be earthed—especially around pools and outdoor hardscapes.

What can be inlaid into a HIDE Polymer Cover? What sizes & depths are available?

Almost any landscape finish can be inlaid, including tile, stone, pavers, concrete, artificial turf and decking (as long as thickness and fit suit the selected kit).

Sizes (all HIDE Polymer kits): 206mm, 306mm and 342mm.
Depths:

  • HIDE Full Polymer kits: 20mm and 30mm
  • HIDE Combination Polymer kits: 20mm, 30mm and 40mm (40mm available in Ash colourway only)

Do HIDE Polymer Covers come in different colours, and how do I match them to my tiles/pavers?

Yes. HIDE Polymer Covers are available in three colourways: Ash, Bone and Charcoal. Choose the colour that best suits the undertone/hue of your surrounding finish—e.g., match warm beige/cream tiles with Bone, cool grey tones with Ash, and dark charcoal/graphite tiles or pavers with Charcoal for the most seamless result.

What’s the difference between HIDE Full Polymer and HIDE Combination Polymer Covers?

HIDE Full Polymer Covers are made entirely from polymer.
HIDE Combination Polymer Covers combine a polymer frame with a stainless steel lid for added durability—while the ability to remove the stainless lid means the installation can remain non-conductive.

What’s included in a HIDE Polymer Cover kit?

Each kit includes a HIDE Lid and Frame, adhesive, HIDE Safety Key, Safety Key holder, height adjuster, and installation instructions.

Can I retrofit/replace an existing skimmer lid with a HIDE Polymer Cover?

Often, yes—as long as the existing recess/opening and surrounding substrate can accommodate the HIDE lid and frame in the required size (206, 306 or 342mm) and depth (20/30/40mm, depending on kit). The best approach is to measure the existing cut-out/recess and confirm the correct kit before ordering.
