Safe practices and care required

NOTE:

  • Suitable for PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC only.
  • No ACID / CHEMICAL WASH contact by the contractor or homeowner ever.

Allow for expansion

  • DO NOT fill the void with grout or a filler between the lid and the inlay stone to allow for expansion and contraction of the steel.
  • Cut the stone carefully to provide a neat finish without fillers between the lid and the inlaid stone. As outlined in the installation instructions, there needs to be a small gap.

Consider and plan installation before project commences

Set depth - When laying levelling bed provide space for edge protector so it will be flush with top of desired finishing material. 

Hybrid-Floor-Vent-install

Fill the recess with a mortar bed then push in edge protector until it fits in with its surrounds.

Check alignment and finished levels before setting the inlay. Good set-out protects the final look and ensures smooth operation.

What sizes are HIDE Access Covers available in?

HIDE Access Covers are available in 6", 8", 10" & 12", plus large 506mm and 656mm manhole sizes.

What depths are available for HIDE Access Covers?

You can choose from 0.4", 0.8", 1.2", 1.6", 2.0" & 2.5" depths to suit your chosen inlay finish—tile, stone, bricks, decking, artificial turf or concrete—comfortably.

What service points can HIDE Access Covers hide?

Can the tiler align grout lines/patterns through the lid?

Yes — HIDE Access Covers are a “blank canvas” installed on-site, allowing grout lines and patterns to be aligned for a seamless finish. You can also mix inlay materials (for example, combining tile and stone, or pavers and concrete) as long as the thickness and fit suit the selected depth.

Where are HIDE Access Covers made, and what warranty is offered?

HIDE Covers are crafted from 316L marine grade stainless steel in our factory in Yatala, Queensland, Australia and come with a 10-year stainless steel warranty—backing our product with long-term confidence.

How do you open a HIDE Access Cover?

HIDE Access Covers are opened using the HIDE Safety Key in the HIDE keyway so the lid can be lifted cleanly for maintenance—while keeping the cover secure when the key isn’t in use. When not using the HIDE Key, store it safely out of the reach of children, with the rest of your pool equipment.
